Hi,

I am seeking some input. I have on hand Suse 6.4. I have heard that you
can download for the "open source" price of free the latest RedHat version.
I have a machine that isn't up to the Win2K hardware compatiblity list, and
will become a lynux box. Should I just load the Suse6.4 on hand and get to
learning lynux, or download, burn to CD, and load the Redhat? What are the
pro's and con's.

I have realized that I must know lynux(and C++) to further my computer
career(UNR minimum skills to talk to you). My background is in MS products,
GIS(MapInfo), CAD(ACADR14), RDMS(Access, and MSSQL), Corel(Draw,Paint),
Adobe(PShop), etc. I have taken C about 7 years ago, know VB, ASP. In a
previous life I worked as an exploration geologist.

Thanks,

Jesse Wellman
