First, Thanks to all of you who made it to the Christmas Dinner last night. And an extra thanks to
everyone who donated toward the raffle.

Quick treasurer's recap

Bank Balance (for the past year) $ 445.87

Monies from dinner & raffle $ 915.00

Expenses for dinner & raffle (768.66)

Net from dinner $ 146.34

Ending Bank Balance (12/10/03) $ 592.21

Now on to my question

I had a meeting today with a member of the Board for the Nevada State Fair.

The Fair is looking for a donation of 5 (working) computers and would like to have them networked.
Software requirements include an office suite, browser, email client, accounting software at a minimum.
The board would like to have everything up and running by Jan 10.

I asked if they had considered Linux and the response was "What's that?"

So folks, between all of our resources in RLUG and RAWUG would we as an organization
be up to taking on this challenge?

To furnish, install and configure a 5 node network with the appropriate whistles & bells?

At the very least we would be listed as a sponsor but there might be a few more perks later.

Let's talk online about this.

Thanks

Dennis
