I've been running the 2.6 kernel since 2.6.2. I have 2.6.5 (vanilla) running flawlessly on my gentoo system and have no intentions of ever going back. The only issues I've found (minor) have been gentoo requiring some alsa-* ebuilds, not understanding (yet) that these are included in 2.6. Also, nvidia's nforce chipset drivers haven't been ported to 2.6 yet (as of a few weeks ago). However, several of the chips have compatible drivers included in the kernel (e.g., forcedeth for the nforce on-board ethernet). I'll have to download 2.6.6 tonight. :) Tim _______________________________________________ RLUG mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.rlug.org/mailman/listinfo/rlug
