To start, go to the Microsoft download site and get Virtual PC 2007. Install it, and then get back to us.

You will need to find a distribution of Linux that runs well under Virtual PC. Debian is not one of them. Fedora maybe. Install that on the Virtual machine you create for the purpose.

You should increase the amount of RAM you have. A separate machine would be a good idea. Again, it doesn't have to be state-of-the-art.

Hi.
Paul is correct in what he says I want to do.
In answer to the suggestion a few posts back, I don't have a linux machine, I only have access to my xp laptop which is running xp home edition with a 1.80 ghz processor with 512 mb of ram. So can someone please tell me very simply how I go about setting up what I want to do? as as far as i no there are no pages in the wiki on this topic either for linux or windows users.
