I believe there may have been some timezone/locale related bugs with the pubtime in the pre-1.3 roller. I'm not sure though because Dave is the one who did the fix and blogs.sun.com has been running on 1.3 for months now.
However, a related issue is that users are *constantly* complaining about the fact that the pubtime does not get set to the time an entry is actually published, so this is something we are planning to work on for blogs.sun.com as well. I haven't done the proposal yet, but i'll do it either today or monday and i believe it'll go something like this ... update the code so that the pubtime is NULL by default and remains NULL until an entry is actually published. if the pubtime is NULL when the entry is published then we set it to the current time. if the pubtime is manaully set via the editing form at any time then we use the time the user set (i.e. allowing publishing to the past/future). i'll get the full write up as soon as i can. -- Allen On Fri, 2005-09-09 at 12:35, Matthew P.
