I don't really know why this happens, but I do know that I have the same 
problem when I compile and run this on a computer with a motorola 
PowerPC(Apple G3) based processor. I found out that the CR-LF's weren't in 
the file, as they were just CR's, because the areas were created on a Intel 
x86 based computer. Perhaps you should check that? I'm not sure if that would 
solve anything.
