I might quote from the snippet itself as it has a great segment on this: "Install at your own risk, I do not give tech support. It works fine with my game."
That means, adapt, it's not plug-and-pray, it's codeing, we all adapt code from one system to suit our own in someway or another. I've recently talked to one of my staff members, and she thinks this snippet would be a great idea, so I'm gonna be adjusting it to fit my mud, and putting it in. (Hint: Samantha, expect my e-mail ;)) Sure, some say "yeah, sure, well, if I dont want to do that, then I should just be able to put it in straight".... Bosh....... again, I quote: "Feel free to tweek actual modifying values to be appropriate to your game. These are appropriate to mine :)" In laymans terms, code this so that it flows with your mud, obviously samantha has put in the time and effort to tweak her code how SHE likes it, which might be totally stupid to some people, or close on to what others like, but that's her choice. I'm sure as heck not going to modify my snippets to patch into a stock rom, anyway, if you have a decently developed codebase, not many things will patch in without effort.... Cheers, and Happy Holidays!
