While that would be a very adventerous project.  The only thing I can see
would be no one would be able to use the clients their used to.  mcl,
tinyfugue, tintin, zMud, gMud...etc.. I don't think any of these would be
able to handle an ssh, or even an SSL tunnel into a mud.
