as I understand from what I read, the Government is
thanking for the Hungarian help. Just there is a Romanian company that produces
pumps and that says it offered to the Government the same pumps, but was
refused. The scandal is around this. But it is not verified yet that the company
produces the same type of pumps or if it was able to put them so fast in
action.

Because I don't read Romanian the facts are a bit obscure, but it seems
the latest and most arrogant scandal in Romania involves the floods in the
west. From what little I have been able to see, Hungarian relief
workers rushed numerous laRge pumps which were somehow used to alleviate the
flooding. The thanks they got from certain segments of the Bucharest
government and some newspapers was something like "Take your stinking
Hungarian crap and get the hell back where you came from." Any clarity anyone
