Regarding UML and Rose at the same time, there is a book of Terry Quatrani
wich is called "Visual Modeling with Rational Rose and UML", which is
interesting but quite basic (reagarding both Rose and UML practices). Also
the version I read is from 1998, and hope there are any actualisations.

Regarding RUP, this is not a methodology, this is a process (since you
consider methodology = process + modeling language). Or better said, this is
a knowledge base on which to build your own process. Or a process to be
tailored to your own organization or project needs. Or a Process Framework.
I guess you should find book regarding RUP at Addison Wesley, but hadn't
read any, so cant help you on this. I think RUP is also a great book on RUP
if you have time to invert at the begining, not to get the impression to be
lost in it after 5 mins (This is normal in my opinion).
