In our situation, we have a large model with 50 different sub models.
There is common object sets which must be shared.

We developed a master model with a "COMM" area which is controlled. Each
of the project sub areas are controlled. A number of models are built
each of which imports the COMM controlled .cat file and the unit specific
.cat file which relates to their work.

A master model is build which has access to all .cat files in the project.

A COMM model is built which has only access to the common area cat files.

Hi,

We are in the process of setting off on a number of projects that will all
be "interrelated" at the component level build a round a common physical
architecture current legacy silo systems. The premise to develop a logical
common data structure for all information with company

A project will call on two major set of resources; a corporate set of
components; and a COTS set of components resulting in a third set of
product to be built. Now, to ensure that opportunities for ensuring that
all projects are singing of the same set of components models they need to
understand and contain corporate components as an example but they must be
copied (shared) and not rewritten (danger of error) into the project
specific models. The best would be that change within the corporate model
is reflected out into all models that utilise corporate components.

At the end of a project the developed components as returned to the
corporate model for future utilisation.

Has anyone a notion as to a solution to this?

This might be aiming for nirvana but project exist within projects and
models need to be kept to a manageable size.

Looking forward to responses

Kind regards
Ramsay
