Are the document files are some kind of sysex files? What do they do? Oh - a quick search yields: "SYX files are raw MIDI system exclusive files that can be loaded from a MIDI equipped PC or Macintosh computer." So I'm presuming their bulk files sent to devices to set them up with new patches/sounds/whatever. > Anyway, I just thought I'd throw it out for a ruling on where it > should go in the GUI if/when someone gets around to implementing it. > I think this would be both easy and cool. Presumably we don't want to import them - we just want to include them in an RG project and say "load this .sysex when we load the document" kind of thing or load this .sysex now? They sound like a candidate for the Studio alright - do you ever want to send these during playback (sequence them) or are they only ever really sent at initialisation?
