Right. I don't know much about the actual mechanics, but I gather you effectively just cat them right out the port. > Presumably we don't want to import them - we just want to include them > in an RG project and say "load this .sysex when we load the document" > kind of thing or load this .sysex now? Well, that's an interesting question, and you've all raised good points. Personally, I just sent the dump at the beginning, and I have no memory of whether or not it was possible to change the time with Cakewalk. I'd set the bank (raw sysex dump) I wanted, and toggle a [x] transmit at startup or some such so that it would be sent out once, upon loading up the file. I never actually made much use of Cakewalk's facility for this, but I do remember that there was control available which I did not use very often, if ever. My original vision for this was less complicated, but I see now that it's simplistic. Nobody wants to transmit one of these things every time they hit play. More thought and research needed. I'd like to see it some day though. I do think it would be a boon. However, we all have better things to do at the moment, and this can wait. -- Michael McIntyre USDA zone 6b in SW VA, USA Silvan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Linux Druid ----------[ registered Linux user #243621 ]--------- http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Rue/5407/index.html ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Etnus, makers of TotalView, The best thread debugger on the planet.
