Q'est-ce que c'est le problme? Je lis ici "MPU 401" qui me dit que tu n'as q'une "external MIDI port" Est-ce que tu as un clavier, etc. pour reproducir le son? Si non, il faut employer qqch comme FluidSynth, car tu n'as pas une "internal MIDI port" l. Remember what we were saying about technical vocabulary? :) This stuff isn't even in my dictionary. Not to mention my French is so rusty I can't even remember how to conjugate a number of verbs I would have used here. So I'm going to switch to English and explain it again. Maybe between the two you can understand what I'm trying to say. As I read your sequencer init, it's finding your soundcard just fine, and it's setting you up with a connection to an external playback device. This is used to transmit to a MIDI keyboard, or perhaps a MIDI sound module like an SC-55 or MT-32. In order to use it, you need to have a physical connection to the hardware, and you need to have hardware on the other side of it. If you don't have any MIDI hardware, ALSA isn't going to let you play any sound by itself with that soundcard. This is the case with my SB PCI 128, for example, and this is a limitation of ALSA that has nothing to do with Rosegarden. What you've shown doesn't look like a Rosegarden configuration/installation problem at all. If I'm reading your problem correctly, the solution is to install and run FluidSynth. You will then have two playback ports available from Rosegarden, and the FluidSynth port will make noise when you send notes to it. If I'm on the right track here, and you need more detail, I'll be happy to help you get it set up. If not, I still don't understand your question. Respond in French if you want.
