Thanks.  I haven't had any objections so I'll send my emails shortly.
Regrettably, I've no code for any of my suggestions or bug reports
at this atage.

BTW, it's great to see the Rosegarden project is still highly active even
after nearly 9 years.  I hadn't tried RG4 until very recently.
I'm very impressed by its potential, especially for notation editing.
I've been using the original Rosegarden since your very earliest version
at Bath U. and done a great deal of composition and MIDI sequencing with it.
Rosegarden 2.1 has been a fantastic tool.  However, it's finally time for me
to move on from RG2.1 because ALSA does not seem to support the
old OSS sound driver properly despite its claims of full compatibility.
I look forward to following and perhaps contributing to RG4 development.

You probably won't remember a pile of email I sent you, Rich, and Andy
in 1996 giving far too many bug reports and suggestions for new features.
