I notice we also have a bug that we caused and then got rid of again during that auto-scroll work -- namely that if you just play something and hover the mouse button over the window, a selection rectangle is created up to the mouse pointer position each time a scroll happens. Also it crashed when I double-clicked on something. If you're looking at doing previews at any point, don't forget that I refactored the segment canvas previews so as to use an asynchronous helper class for calculating audio previews in the background (see audiopreviewthread.h).
