I emailed him off-list with a finding that audio segments seem to bog down scrolling, whether previews are visible or not. I have a huge all MIDI test file, and everything seems more or less fine. Add one fairly big audio segment to that, turn previews and labels off, and it still cuts scrolling performance sharply. More audio seems to make it progressively worse, and an audio-heavy file (Zynfidel) is just short of impossible to work with. I'll add another finding. Deleting the audio tracks from one of these boggy files makes an immediate and dramatic positive difference, then undoing the deletion makes an immediate negative difference. I really don't think I'm dreaming this at all. -- Michael McIntyre ---- Silvan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Linux fanatic, and certified Geek; registered Linux user #243621 http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Rue/5407/ http://rosegarden.sourceforge.net/tutorial/ ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM.
