Alright. I was there before, unsurprisingly, but since I didn't know exactly where to look.... > > This really is pretty dismal and uninviting. > > Yes :-(. scons -u doesn't work anymore, incidentally. That was one reason for my clean checkout. Since I had had other problems related to old cruft, I thought a fresh slate might cure that as well. Nope. I just modified three files in gui/ and did a scons -u, and got: ~/CVS/rosegarden/gui/ $scons -u scons: Entering directory `/home/silvan/CVS/rosegarden' scons: Reading SConscript files ... Checking for pkg-config ... ok Checking for alsa >= 1.0 ... ok Checking for jack >= 0.77 ... ok Checking for dssi >= 0.4 ... ok Checking for C header file ladspa.h... yes Checking for lrdf_init() in C library lrdf... yes Checking for liblo >= 0.7 ... ok Checking for mad >= 0.10 ... ok Checking for xft >= 2.1.0 ... ok Checking for int lirc_init() in C library lirc_client... yes scons: done reading SConscript files. scons: Building targets ... scons: `gui' is up to date. scons: done building targets. It always does this checking bit every time too, which I'm sure I've mentioned previously, but I reiterate. -- D.
