It does particularly.  If this has something to do with fonts, it's probably 
more particularly here because I have an obscene number of fonts installed.

Could this whatever it's doing be cached in some way?  I haven't changed my 
obscenely huge collection of fonts in months.

Anyway, you have a point that at least you get to look at something, and it 
doesn't last *quite* long enough to trigger the "well, this POS is hung, how 
can I kill it?" reflex.

G just doesn't know what he's missing.

Fortunately, I've forgotten just about everything from the chewing baby years.  
The next time I deal with chewing babies, they'll be grandkids.
