3. Canvas behaves bad when working with really big compositions. I mean
REALLY big. The Rite Of Spring by Igor Stravinsky is good example. Is
that
big enough for testing? Release 1.0 is much better here in many ways.
Don't take me for granted on this one. Maybe I'm just being subjective.
I
don't know.
I don't know either, perhaps it would help if you could explain more
precisely
what you mean by "behaves bad".
Wrong! I was agile enough to install rg1.0 and -- I'm definitely wrong! My
fault. Great new code Guillaume. ;)
Something ambiguous obviously happened only once, but that was enough for
me to blame you. Apologize...
4. Segment rectangle fill sometimes doesn't reflect what's selected.
Shown
as continuous darker color (selected) and then one lighter (deselected)
color block followed by selection again.
Haven't seen this in a *long* time, which leads to the obvious question
: how
current is your source tree ?
How up-to-date anonymous cvs can be, really?! I update it once or twice a
day without exception.
BTW, I'm seeing this one from time to time, but not often... That's
probably way it annoys me.
5. Rg crashes randomly very often with no obvious reason. Which is what
prevents me from using rg for time being! gdb wont help me at all. Don't
ask me why!
If you at least would explain why "gdb won't help you at all", perhaps we
could tell you how to make it helpful. Or if you could describe one
reproducible way to make it crash :-).
Here it is in brief:
**After running:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~ $ gdb -args rosegarden --nofork --existingsequencer
**rg freezes at:
...
rosegarden: RosegardenGUIApp::setupFileDialogSpeedbar
rosegarden: RosegardenGUIApp::setupFileDialogSpeedbar: examples set true
rosegarden: RosegardenGUIApp::showEvent()
rosegarden: RosegardenGUIApp::launchSequencer() - sequencer already
running - returning
rosegarden: KStartupLogo::close: Showing Tips
rosegarden: sfxload disabled
rosegarden: RosegardenGUIApp::slotTestStartupTester
[New Thread 32770 (LWP 32724)]
waiting for new child: No child processes.
(gdb)
**Then I force it to continue:
(gdb) continue
**Someone to explain me what's happening?!!
!?!?! Hehe
Funny part: I've managed to crash rg in my first attempt to do so!
Here's one that is totally reproducible:
I've opened the file I'm working on right now. And then tried to merge
another one at the start of composition. Trace:
...
rosegarden: AudioPreviewThread::run entering
rosegarden: AudioPreviewThread::process()
rosegarden: AudioPreviewThread::process() file id 1
rosegarden (sequence manager): SequenceManager::update()

What happened to second point? The one about wrong playback start position?
