Sorry, looks like SourceForge rejected it as spam (they don't like the mail server for my handheld any more). Here's what I wrote: -snip- Silvan: > Yes. I DETEST the FREAKING tabs. I don't find them comfortable, I don't use them, and I probably never will - although I do kind of like them in theory, and would understand if others did in practice. That rearrangement just now was based on what seemed right for stacked mode, though I realised after switching to check in tabbed mode that it didn't feel right there, hence my doubtful commit report. I was also gearing up to ask what people thought we should do about stacked mode, given that the omission of the extended track properties in stacked mode is a serious showstopper in my book (i.e. I don't see tabs as a good enough answer). We probably need a quick open/close toggle for the extra properties in each box, or something similarly unwieldy. And then, yes, a vertical scrollbar for the whole area. Damn it. There are quite a few things like this that I'm finding unsatisfactory about the parameter box layouts still, but it's hard to articulate the questions, let alone find the answers (the one is probably a significant step toward the other). I did find myself agreeing with much of your email just now. -snip- > > > the omission > > > of the extended track properties in stacked mode is > > > a serious showstopper in my book [...] > > Chris, are you writting another book about Rosegarden? Sorry, "in my book" is just an idiom. It means "from my point of view", "for my purposes", or "in my opinion".
