Ah, so the suggestion is that we don't bother to get the translations up to
date at all for the feature release, but then rely on having a stable release
series (which we don't currently have) and bringing the translations up to
date gradually throughout that series?

Well, that makes some sense. I think we'd have to overcome a bit of momentum
in the other direction if we wanted to start thinking about an actual release
series for 1.4 stable at this point (rather than a single release with
possibly one or two bugfix releases as required, like 1.2.3 had). I'm not
really mentally prepared for doing anything other than ripping up the tarmac
after 1.4 (e.g. reorganising the code base as discussed previously). I think
we should probably go ahead as planned for the moment, unless someone would
like to step in and offer to coordinate future releases (including doing
branch merges for post-1.4 fixes).

Sorry, yes, I was making the same old mistake.

Apparently not. I can't think offhand of any obvious reason why not. It
might be a simple fix once one gets into the code. I seem to remember
Stephen reporting that he didn't know why they didn't print either (though
that was obviously a while ago).

OK, I've now committed a suitable collapsible frame thing. It still has room
for improvement, and I may yet make the odd enhancement, but it feels pretty
usable to me. What do you think?
