Yes indeedy! Unless I'm too impatient? How long should I have waited: I
waited about 5 minutes.

This did occur to me too. But in the past rosegarden has done this without
a complaint. How would I change this without starting the programme up? 
I did once start up qjackctl and then rosegarden successfully once, but
only once. So maybe this is a possibility.
