Yes, I think that's fine. This isn't the only way the tempo ruler and (new) marker ruler differ -- if you add a new tempo in the tempo ruler, its location gets snapped to the nearest grid position, whereas in the marker ruler that doesn't happen. It was a deliberate decision in the tempo ruler, since I thought it was probably too hard to be very accurate with your positioning and so perhaps better to be imprecise but in a very predictable way. If you want precision, edit the tempo afterwards, or set the playback pointer precisely and then use Add at Playback Pointer. What do you think? Pros and cons?
