Yes, it looks like the same problem. Thanks for pointing out the patch.
I found it in the archives.
Now being nine or ten month after the fact, shouldn't that patch have
propagated into the stable 1.5 branch?
The patch in question is indeed applied to the branch. However, it looks
like the race condition is still taking place.
