They are among the things I actually use, though.

I use the pulldown menu for Undo if I want to undo more than one thing, and I 
can never remember the shortcut for Redo because it has varied across apps 
I've used in living memory and that's enough to disturb my confidence about 
it.

There may be a good argument for disabling all the toolbars by default, _then_ 
working intensively on the menu and shortcut organisation for a bit to make 
sure all the features were actually accessible easily without using the 
toolbars, _then_ discussing which toolbars to re-enable.  That way we'd end 
up with better menu organisation, which is probably more important.
