OK, a thread today on rg-devel has put me in mind of another thing I'd like to
survey our users about.
Attached is a plain text file (config-options.txt) containing a survey, which
you can fill in using a modern survey-editing tool such as a text editor.
Apart from a few basic questions about the type of user you are, this survey
is all about the configuration options you use. It simply lists the config
options in the current SVN Rosegarden's configuration dialog. If you have
changed any of these options in your current Rosegarden environment, please
fill 'em in.
NOTE: this is not primarily about changing the default values, it's more about
identifying which options are most frequently changed. Your settings are of
interest regardless of whether you think other people would want to use the
same ones or not.
Please send your forms to me, retaining the current subject line so I can
identify them easily.
If you have changed none of the configuration options, please send an email
anyway, with the current subject line, just saying "I've changed none of the
configuration options" (or similar) and omitting the form.
If you routinely use more than one value for some options (e.g. sometimes you
run with JACK transport, sometimes without), please make a note of that next
to the option.
Thanks!
Chris
Rosegarden configuration survey
===============================
This survey lists all of the options available under "Settings" ->
"Configure Rosegarden..." in the current SVN version of Rosegarden
(previous releases may differ). If you have changed any of these
options, please fill in the setting you use next to the option below.
For example, if you always use the Tabbed side-bar parameter box
layout, you would insert the word Tabbed in the square brackets in the
relevant line, as in:
Sidebar param box layout Vertically stacked [Tabbed]
For options you haven't changed, please leave the [] empty.
Sorry, this survey is only in English. If you use Rosegarden in
another language, and you can work out which option is which in the
list below, we'd be grateful if you can fill in responses from your
native language translation of Rosegarden, or English, as preferred.
Also, please can you put an X next to the statements that apply:
