I'm pretty ambivalent really. It's too late to get a point release into Ubuntu Hardy, so that means a large chunk of our userbase won't get the point release for six months anyway. Though at this rate it might be worth doing so 1.6.2 can go into whatever follows Hardy, and 1.7.0 can come out in an Ubuntu in April 2009. As depressing as it is to think that all this cool new stuff won't be widely seen for more than a year. We're already so far away from the last release that I keep telling users about things that don't exist to them yet.
