I'm not exactly voting for tr(), just thinking it might be the only way out from here. We might talk to some KDE people first. Switching to tr() from here looks extremely ugly. Especially for me, as I completely suck at scripting search and replace stuff of this magnitude. Further complicating matters is I'm unsure how to produce .ts files (I think they're called) or what to do with them after, etc. It's notable that the newest Qt4 will support .po files. Perhaps that can be part of our solution. I'm really not sure. I haven't looked very deeply into this. I can't get past the fear factor. I chose i18n() because of the fear factor in the first place. -- D.
