Hello everyone,
I was told via the survey to pick one.
I did.
I picked 09.01 format.
I can go without the leading 0 in 09.
I like the 0 in .01 -- for sorting reasons.
I wanted .01 to stand for release date and the 9 or 09 to stand for the year.
If we went to a 9.01.xx format the .xx could also be .01 or .02 or whatever,
just as a bug fix for the main release within a reasonable time after then main
release. If your more than a couple months in rolling it out, just call it
9.03 instead--as an example in for march.
I don't know how to make it clearer as to what my vote was.
I tried to just vote and let it go, but I don't want 9.1, 9.2, etc if the .x is
just a sequential thing. Then we are just back to deciding when to roll out a
10.X which I believe is one of the reasons that this all came about in the
first place.
To sum it up though, I just don't think it matters to much there will be
confusion any way we go. But Rosegarden isn't going away so maybe it is high
time we pick a scheme that works for now and works 10 years from now.
Well, enough of that.
Sincerely,
Julie S.
