Ugh. That really is bad news. If everybody could reproduce it easily, then
we'd have a much greater chance of fixing it.

So let's compare notes... I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS with Qt 4.6.2.

I already have to keep a copy of Qt 4.7 to manage the translations, due to a
Qt bug. Maybe we'll get lucky and upgrading Qt is the only requirement for
solving this issue. I could live with the newest Rosegarden requiring Qt 4.7.
I'll have to get on that and see what happens.

As things are set up now, I can't actually build Rosegarden with Qt 4.7,
because it fails to link. It might be worth taking some time to tinker and
get that issue resolved.

Unfortunately, I stumbled across that suggestion myself, and already tried it,
to no avail. I get the same results for scaled(w, h) as for copy(0, 0, w, h).

This doesn't just affect resizing, but the initial size upon starting the
application. It renders Rosegarden totally useless.

Here are three screenshots whose titles reflect which version of the code was
used to produce them. All three were done by modifying trunk/, but I get the
same results running the no_more_qt3_redux branch.
