I just noticed that I have already RG compiled with the "debug" flag; I think I 
set that flag in my package.use one of those other times I was "fighting" with 
older versions, so if you could tell me how to see those debugging 
statements... (pardon my ignorance I never had such a weird probelm with Gentoo 
nor other distros)
