The CPU core of my machine is an Intel P4 2.6 GHz 32 bit, running the emulator under debian linux. At the RISC OS emulation side I use the StrongARM as CPU. I tested the emulator now with the ARM710 CPU and yes you're right, it works fine, no crashing and bad screen redraws anymore, look like the SA emulation and RISC OS 4 doesn't go along nicely :( Thanks for the tip.
