Using the details in the rpclog.txt I have replicated your environment
as closely as I can.

I tested RPCEmu and it worked fine with none of the problems you have
described. The environment was a newly installed version of Ubuntu
10.10, and I have confirmed I have used the same kernel, Allegro
version, compiler and configuration.

The most obvious difference left is the ROM you are using. Is it
possible the ROM is corrupt in some way? We have had people reporting
problems on the mailing list before, and the cause was a corrupt ROM.

Can you provide details of how the ROM was obtained?

Thanks

Matthew
