When I was on the IETF trust, someone wrote to ask if he could produce annotated versions of RFCs, and we said no because the way he planned to do it made it unclear what was the RFC and what was him.

Other than that, I don't recall anything. We've occasionally told people to stop using the IETF trademark but that's different.
