huh
the rule says "The Contribution properly acknowledges all Contributors" - i.e
text in the contribution lists the contributors
- unless the text is remove it would
appear in the RFC (and this editor of the rule expects that to be the case)
I would like it to be clear that I am not
disagreeing with the editor of the rule.
From what I understand, Section 5.6 is of RFC
5378 is applicable for Contributions. The IETF
Trust will then sublicense the rights which it
has been granted. It is up to the person
requiring AI assistance for his/her Contribution
to see whether the Contribution fulfills the
conditions set in that Section and other sections
of the RFC. The practice over the years was that
the "IETF" or any of its agents to draw the
attention of the Contributor to the RFC and ask
for a confirmation. I am open to providing a few
links to those requests if needed.
