Hi all,

I just wanted to point out that I am very happy that David Lang has
accepted my request to become an administrator for rsyslog's github
presence. David is with the rsyslog for a veeeeery long period now and has
always provided great ideas and insight and he knows rsyslog policies very
well. I am sure we could not find anyone better to act as administrator.

David will not become an active commiter directly to the repository. But he
has this ability and we have talked that he should do so in case of an
emergency.

Also, I have asked Pavel Levshin to become a comittor for the liblognorm
project. I am glad to say he has accepted this task. While Pavel is
relatively new to rsyslog, he has already shown his deep technical
understanding. Among others, Pavel has done the recent big refactoring of
liblognorm, which made it able to speak pure JSON. Pavel will actively
commit to the repo if he sees need to do so.

Note that I am also thinking on how we can make the commit structure we
have in rsyslog more clear to the outside world. I'll come up with another
posting on that, but I am not sure if I manage to do that today.

In the meantime, please all let's thank David an Pavel for taking up these
positions.

Rainer
