Hi all (and especially Radu ;)), would this qualify as a Solr external plugin? I mean, for starters... I don't even have an idea if it would run ;)
https://github.com/rsyslog/rsyslog/blob/master/plugins/external/solr/rsyslog_solr.py It's written to the current capabilities of omstdout, so no feedback (but -unused- batches). Of course, the README also needs more meat (contributions welcome ;)). If it worked, we could even create rsyslog packages that come together with a config snippet. I guess the URL parameter should be taken from the command line, so it's all central in rsyslog.conf (subfile). But... I am eager for some feedback before going further...
