Hi Rainer! Looks good, thanks! I'll put this in my todo list: I'll create a test env (and document how anyone can do it), try your plugin and also try enhancing it.
I think it's a great start and it should be good enough for people who just need to shove logs from their servers to Solr. For people who need high-performance stuff (like aggregating logs to a central place, and push from there), an omsolr would probably be much better anyway.
