For my ppa I also put out an updated libee-dev. 0.4.1-0ubuntu1

I think you will have to do the same and create an updated libee-dev.

I do apologize I have not had much free time to figure out the scripts adiscon has developed to build the packages.

The way I have been doing my ppa is using uupdate and the process is very quick. Although I need to find time to package the new log libraries to update my PPA as well.

I hope to have some free time soon to sink my teeth into this way of doing things.

You can sign me up for this effort.

I don't mind uploading ppa's to a central place vs my personal space I
upload to now.

Don't know if I am brave or stupid, but I am game. To quote
Jeremey Clarkson, how hard can it be? ;)

If you are new to the process (as I am ;)), I am sure we can both learn to
do the right things and get involved in that part of the process...

       Quick question: from
https://github.com/rsyslog/rsyslog-pkg-ubuntu/rsyslog we have:

devo@devubuntu:~/rsyslog-pkg-
ubuntu/rsyslog$ fgrep libee-dev
precise/v7-stable/debian/*
precise/v7-stable/debian/control:               libee-dev (>= 0.4.0),
devo@devubuntu:~/rsyslog-pkg-ubuntu/rsyslog$

But, from http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/libee-dev, the precise
version is 0.3.2-1

Is it required or it would be fine with 0.3.2-1?

Rainer
