OK, this is what we do testing for... ;) I had the impression that the hangout on air interface would give me some indication of who is present. I had a displayed a "number of viewers" but that was really not much info.
Once I drop out of a hangout, it seems to be stopped altogether. OK... I was unable to invite Mauricio, so I could not try if we would have been able to have a discussion in front of the rest of the audience. The Q&A app is really is all that - users seem to be able to ask questions, which I can pick. so it's not a generic feedback tool. Quick summary: it looks like Hangouts on air is a good tool to record training sessions, but that's probably it. A plus (but not more) is that (passive) viewers can ask questions via text-chat, so that I can address them. It's a bit less than I had hoped for, but it's not that bad at all. I'll see how I can use these features and give it another shot some other time. It would be good if two or three folks could agree to try a "group hangout on air". as far as I understood, it should be possible to have at least some presenters holding the hangout together. Of course, everyone will then be recorded.
