Nope, unfortunately, I can't find a way to do that. I can only think of the ugly way of having a small script to touch all RST files. Which will make backporting docs an even bigger pain. Though if we don't plan to maintain v5 docs anymore (except for accepting whatever PRs people would want to contribute), that shouldn't be too much of a pain.
