Thank you Florian - I did a full clean and reinstall of the YUM repos using the stable release and I now have the latest version installed. No particular reason for using the nightly build.
I was hoping the latest release would solve my problem with a rsyslog server that is not sending any remote logs. The configuration is identical to another server, running the same OS, on the same VLAN that is working properly. The rsyslog receiver is on the same VLAN as both the working and not-working rsyslog server. I see no traffic in a tcpdump, so absolutely no outbound rsyslog data is being sent. I uninstalled/reinstalled rsyslog multiple times, copied a working identical config from the working server, rebooted the server and still no traffic. I enabled debug parameters in my rsyslog.conf and nothing jumps out.
