In case a CPU doesn't support atomic 8-bit load/store operations it
insufficient for SMP.
A proper fix would be to use atomic operations, which we don't support at the
moment.
Agree. This is a temporary fix that is required for the LEON to run the test.
What is the problem with the current test code on LEON?
