I have every reason and justification behind all my RTI applications. I work where our Chief Mentor is Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, who is the creator of Super Computer of India and also we work closely with C-DAC which has mandate by government to spread IT in India. So I get very less time to work for my RTI activities. As a responsible citizen of India I am doing this. Not a single application is for my personal benefit. Forget all my applications.. I am submitting my Airport case the Questions & Answers and my observations. ... Following is the case with Airport Authority of India, Mumbai & New Delhi. My questions and their official answers. 1. Is parking FREE for all Embassy Vehicles at all Airports in India? If yes, the need a copy of GR or Notification regarding this order. How Mumbai Police and RTO are being informed? AAI reply: No Sir. When the authorized embassy vehicle is parked in the designated VIP car parking area no fee is charged, whereas if the said vehicle is parked in the paid parking area, charges as applicable are collected. There is no GR or Notification issued. 2. How far Embassy vehicle can be parked from all the Terminus buildings? AAI reply: Embassy vehicles can only go upto the designated VIP car parking area or upto the Terminal Building to drop or receive passenger. 3. If this facility is there then is it valid only when the Ambassador is with the vehicle or is it applicable to all staff of Embassy? AAI reply: Embassy vehicle which comes to receive / see off the ambassador is entitled to park in designated VIP car park area. 4. Please provide a copy of "List of all Embassy's and there respective vehicle's number plate details." AAI reply: Since no policy on the subject has been issued, desired information is not available. 5. Please provide a copy of all approved rates & brands of Mineral Water which is sold at Chhatrapati Shivaji International airport. AAI reply: May be advised by M/s. MIAL. My actual observations are as follows, After my case I cud figure lot of changes and new options at AAI website. Any ways I am studying that. When go to Airport (Arrival 2A or 2C at CSIA- Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport) you get to see following, * Almost 2-3 hours embassy vehicles are parked near Terminal buildings. (This is my major concern, any terrorist group can take advantage of this) * Embassy vehicle is supposed to stop near terminal building only to receive or drop Ambassador, this does not happen. * In this scenario Driver should be with the vehicle, but this also does not happen. * * No one stops them and questions them. On the contrary Police troubles common passenger and their vehicles. Especially Traffic Police leave out MH-01, MH-02, MH-03, MH-04, but rest all vehicles are stopped and questioned. This is beyond my imagination. * When I spoke to Mumbai Police & Mumbai Traffic Police, they are helpless. * Airport staff allows their relative without ticket in welcome lounge. (Major revenue loss of our government) * Prices of snacks and mineral water are sky high. As per law it should not but no one questions. (It's a different story all together, as I have 2 one litre Kinley mineral water bottles with different MRP's. This clear cut violation of rules on part of COCA COLA.) * Airport Manager is manner less while speaking to people and has very less information with him. (He is located near Departure, 2nd floor) * In case of any query he straight away redirects query to Airlines. * When you go to enquire with Airlines, you are not allowed in side as security stops you from going inside. 2-3 Central Jawans sits their, you will find them chatting most of the times and they have made surroundings shabby by spitting pans, guthakas, tobacco etc. (This is shame for INDIA.) * Smoking is not allowed any where but you will find AAI employees breaking the law all the time. No one questions them. * Cafeteria is a big mess. (located at 2nd floor) * Passenger and their relatives are supposed to take permission when ever they are using their still or video cameras, but no one from security cross check this. You will find every tom, dick and harry is shooting khullam khulla. * While entering in to Arrival or Departure you need official ticket or official pass. Jawans needs to check also, but if you observe, seriousness is lacking. This activity is happening at one of busiest airport of our country. My only concern is security is not up to the mark. Dear Ashish, If you are satisfied, then my request to you is to think twice before putting any stinker. You also can do this activity at the airport in or around your city. Dear Sarbajit If Mr.Shirodkar is representative of majority of Indians using RTI then it perhaps it is time to scrap this law. Reading his requests it is difficult to decipher why he is asking for all this information and more importantly what he plans to do with it. Usually though we find the RTI individual applicants to be frustrated people who have nothing better to do than waste public servants time by paying 10 rupees and then not collecting the information when we ask for Rs.26,732 to give him the information he wants which my staff have gathered with great effort and diversion of resources. Was Sh.Shirodkar denied a free pass to watch cricket match by Sharad Pawar? Was he not allowed to park his bicycle in parking spot occupied by US Embassy car at Airport? Consider this from the PIO P.O.V, how can PIO help applicant of he does not know WHY the information is being requested. I value the views of other members on my random observations.
