Like the mainstream RTI movement, I was also shocked to learn of the passing away of this talented individual.
Due to the unfortunate barricade erected by some misguided [Hum Janenge] moderators (of whom Rahul was one) the censorship policy at that group did not see fit to permit my fulsome tribute to him for publication there. There is no need to reiterate that the public disgreement (which resulted in my gagging on HJ) I had on interpretation of RTI laws was with the late Masterji (founder of HJ) and not with his acolytes who run the group now - many of whom contribute to keeping the RTI movement going. In future if any such unfortunate situation arises I hope that our members (many of whom are common to groups such as HJ) shall include this group also for their tributes /communications, especially as the struggle to keep RTI afloat in the face of State opposition cuts across groupism, regionalism and other similar affiliations. In sorrow, Sarbajit
