Dear Ajay: My congratulations on the work that you are doing. It takes
some courage to go to an Abbattoir .

& hence was not available. I was given an option to appear in front of
his deputy, Head of Administration or postponement of hearing. I
accepted the option of hearing. The AA has accepted my arguments & ruled
that since Abattoir does not have info about reference in religious
books about Qurbani of bulls, buffaloes ( he, she & baby) they will
transfer my application to the public authority who is supposed to have
this info( my original application was to GAD – who is attached to
CM of Maharashtra ) & also ruled that I should be given certified true
copies of qualifications of all the doctors at Deonar who certified that
these 8000 animals( animals sacrificed during the qurbani period in Dec
2008) were fit for the sacrifice. The place depressed me & my wife
tremendously. I think the effect will last for ever. I feel there is
something in that atmosphere which is extremely anti-life, dark & very
negative.

office of ACP Mumbi Sh. Vijaysingh Jadhav about inspection of
procurement related files of bullet proof jackets. ( they are not able
to trace these files ) I had argued for info available from other
sources ( it is not possible that only files will have all the info
about these jackets). My request to provide info from all the other
sources was accepted by the AA. He has ruled that the info be provided
to me within 2 days.

have inspected & asked for copies of the relevant pages from the tree
authority BMC of the following documents. Trees that are proposed to be
cut in June , July. Tree census carried by BMC in 2007 ( published in
2008). Names & educational qualifications of the members of tree
authority. I will be getting these documents in the next week.
