dear rtl'ers

I hope it is not illegitimate to post information about a job offer in this
list.

The working group on single-molecule-spectroscopy at the Max-Planck-Institute
for biophysical Chemistry in Goettingen, Germany is offering several positions
at the doctoral or post-doctoral level. One of these positions is to be filled
by the future 'computer-expert' of the group. There are numerous real time
applications, thus far they have been achieved sub-optimally with Labview, the
group would like to move on to real-time linux.

It would be good for such a person to have successfully set up a project in rtl
and be able to quickly get rtl working. The field of study is biophysics, but
no particular experience is required, only a willingness to become
active. Mathematical expertise in data analysis would be appreciated, as
would a working knowledge of German. Clearly fluency in C and unix are
necessary.

Information about the available positions (Ausschreibung) can be obtained from
the head of the group, Dr. Claus Seidel ([EMAIL PROTECTED]). Information on
the group is under www.mpibpc.gwdg.de/abteilungen/010/seidel, just the naked
address gives information on the Institute.

The undersigned ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) would also gladly describe how rtl could
expedite the work of the group, of which I am not a member but cooperate
with in several projects.
