Yes. Linus Torvalds doesn't want them ifdefed. He says, and we agree,
that there are too many ifdefs in kernel code already. When RTL goes
into mainline kernel (scheduled for sometime during 2.3) it will not
be a configuration option.

We are experiencing some delays but 2.2.5 with some major upgrades is 
in the works.

Because we want to allow people to do RTL development without learning
Linux kernel and we similarly do not want to make RTL options available
to kernel and driver developers who have not understood the RT system --
otherwise hard cli's would start popping up in drivers and RTL would
stop working.

Time problems. Believe it or not, things are better then they were and
some improvements are in the works. However, volunteers to upgrade 
examples etc are always welcome.
