Hi
As far as I know RTlinux kernel cannot be connected to outside world via
networking... The only way of connection is either via the ports ( for
example from a sensor or FIFO'S) Please correct me if I am wrong, since all
the following is going to be based on my first assumption...
My other understanding of RTLinux is all the interrupts are filtered in the
emulator level, so the soft one will pass to the Linux kernel and the Hard
interrupts will be kept into the RTLinux kernel...
My first question is please if possible give me some hints so I can easier
find out where and how does the above get happen?
My final goal is to deal with some networking interrupts as an hard
interrupt and donot pass it to the Linux kernel, for example if I get a
meesage( a packet) from the outside world via internet I keep and deal with
that signal in RTLinux kernel level NOT in the Linux kernel level...
I would like to know whether this work had been done before ( I haven't seen
any thing ) or do you guys have any suggestions...And if possible what is
the best way to start ( since this is my first experience in hacking a
kernel !!)
Thanx alot
maryam
